Chef, Lan Thai (known by her moniker @DrunkenMasterChef) hosts a monthly series of multi-course, open-air dinners that she calls Farm to Chopstix. Lan is the talented owner of Happy's Hawaii, an organic Asian fusion catering company based on Oahu's North Shore. This particular dinner took place on grounds of Waihuena Farm in Pupukea and featured craft beer pairings by Lanikai Brewing Company. I enjoyed photographing and sampling the dinner as well as the beautiful country table setup and mood lighting which really transformed after sunset. Here's the night's menu:
Avocado with golden banana crips and magic green sauce.
Pork and mushroom wonton dumplings with Nasturium flowers
Coconut lemongrass soup
Shrimp udon noodle with kale, green mango, arugula watermelon radish with coconut chili garlic dressing.
Bourbon bread pudding with coconut browned butter and caramelized macadamia nuts.
